One Saturday, I was talking to Bertone, and I go "I read the news today. About a scary man that touched some kids." Then we started feeding off each other's ideas, and we got to the beginning of the second verse. Then, ironically, I finished the rest, after watching the news and they were covering the Michael Jackson case. I didn't really like the middle part. I originally was gonna have Bertone do it, so it could be like how John and Paul wrote a Day in the Life, but I wanted to release it as soon as I could, so i ended up doing the middle 8.

In terms of contriubtions, Bertone contributed the "I saw his photograph, and the "He blew his nose right off his face," but I did the rest.
