Clue has always been a favorite Board game, and movie of mine. I got the "Mean Colonel Mustard" idea from a friend, waaay before Bertone and I started this. He sang "Mean Colonel Mustard" but that's all he had. So later, I used his idea, and I expanded it. Originally, in the first draft of the song, I was gonna have it be Mrs. White who was murdered, but Bertone suggested I change it to Professor Plum because it sounded better, because of the rhyming issue. One thing that I just noticed today about the final version: the line "Hid her body in a dark, empty room." In the original version, it was Mrs. White who was killed in the song, but as I mentioned earlier, but when I made the final version I forgot to change that line. It's kind of like what Paul did with Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, where he turned Desmond into a he-she.
