House.

A woman notices someone breaking into the house she screams in horror as a Creature resembling the creature from the black lagoon shows up breaking into the house. The creature holds a knife.

Woman: AHH!!!

The creature advances toward her and slices her throat open. The woman falls on the ground dead. The creature walks off.

The Next Morning

Detective Hall appears at the scene of a murder.

Detective Hall: What happened?

His partner Jack shows up.

Jack: Detective Hall sir it appears it’s another one of those Creature from the black lagoon murders.

Detective Hall: That same murderer.

Jack: Same one.

He showed Detective Hall seaweed.

Detective Hall: The killer’s trademark.

Jack: You got it. Found it right beside the victim.

Detective Hall: So who was the victim?

Jack: Tracy Klugman she’s about 19 dropped out of High School 4 years ago.

Detective Hall: Sounds like a winner. How was she murdered?

Jack: Slit throat.

Detective Hall: He keeps on killing everybody in different ways.

Jack: It is pretty odd.

The two saw the body on the ground policemen surrounding it.

Detective Hall: Know anything else about what she was doing?

Jack: Oh Yeah! I almost forgot she was cast in a small part on some horror movie.

Detective Hall: Horror movie? How do you know about that?

Jack: Well we’ve checked her messages and on one of them a film director asked her to come over and film her scene soon.

Detective Hall: Who’s the film director?

Jack: Danny Hoffman I believe.

Detective Hall: Oh yeah, the king of cheap horror movies they call him right, Jack?

Jack: Yeah he’s made like a 100 movies already each took like 2 weeks to film.

The two start laughing.

Jack: You think we should contact this Danny Hoffman guy?

Detective Hall: Why not? He might provide us with some information. By the way isn’t the movie being filmed here?

Jack: From all the news I’ve read it appears so. I think he’s filming it on 999 Abbey Lane.

Detective Hall: Let’s check it out.

The two start walking away but Sheriff Grant stops them.

Sheriff Grant: Where are you two going?

Detective Hall: I think we have a lead on this Creature from the black lagoon murderer.

Sheriff Grant: What do you mean?

Jack: This girl was filming a movie before her death. Some cheap horror movie by that Danny Hoffman guy. We might can find out more about her from Danny Hoffman .

Sheriff Grant: What is this damn movie about?

Jack: I read Hoffman is not telling anyone but the cast the plot of it.

Sheriff Grant: Alright, when you two get back tell me if you’ve found any information.

Sheriff Grant walked away.

The two guys walk off, get in a police car, and drive off.

999 Abbey Lane

Office.

Danny Hoffman: So anyway how can I help you gentlemen?

Jack: Sir, we’ve come to ask you if you know anything about a woman named Tracy Klugman?

Danny Hoffman: Why do you ask?

Detective Hall: She was found murdered this morning.

Danny: Well what can I say she didn’t really have a big part in the film.

Jack: Do you know of any enemies she might’ve had?

Danny: Well, I remember she kept on arguing with one of lead actresses in the film, Rita Rigby you can check her apartment maybe. But other than that I can’t think of anybody she had arguments with. She was supposed to come and film her scene today.

Detective Hall: Well, thanks for the information, Danny. Pleasure meeting you.

Danny: Sorry I wasn’t as helpful.

Jack: See you.

The two detectives walked out of Danny’s office to their police car.

Jack: So, what do you think?

Detective Hall: I think maybe this Rita Rigby person might have something to do with this murder.

Jack: Really?

Detective Hall: It wouldn’t hurt to question her.

Jack: I guess you’re right.

The two drive off in the police car.

Strawberry Apartments

The two cops knock on Rita’s apartment door. Nobody answers.

Detective Hall tried the doorknob. The door opened.

Jack: Think we should go in.

Detective Hall: We have no other choice.

The two walked in the apartment.

Jack: What a mess.

Inside the apartment blood was everywhere. The body of Rita Rigby was on the floor with a knife in her throat.

Jack: Looks like somebody got to her first.

Detective Hall: You’re right.

He stepped on something squishy.

Detective Hall looked down.

Detective Hall: Seaweed.

Jack: Creature From The Black Lagoon murderer.

Detective Hall: You’re right on the money.

Jack: I’ll go call the rest of the squad.

He walked off.

Detective Hall: Maybe this really is a monster.

Jack(talking from other room.): Don’t be crazy.

Detective Hall: You’re probably right.

Detective Hall started walking around and saw some paper sticking out of a opened drawer.

He walked over to the drawer and picked up the paper.

Detective Hall started reading the script.

Detective Hall: Holy Shitt! Jack come here.

Jack hung up the phone and walked to Detective Hall.

Jack: What?

Detective Hall: Read this.

Jack started reading the script.

Jack: This script it’s basically telling what’s going on right now.

Detective Hall: Do you see what I see? All these murders are based on this script!

Jack: I think you’re right. That means Hoffman could be the murderer.

Detective Hall: Exactly! Let’s go find him.

The two got out the apartment just as cops arrived checking out the murder.

Sheriff Grant walks up to Detective Hall and Jack.

Sheriff Grant: You two where are you going?

Detective Hall: We’re going to see Danny Hoffman.

Sheriff Grant: Why?

Jack: We have a couple of leads that these murders have something to do with him.

Sheriff Grant: Do you want us to come with you?

Detective Hall: We can handle this on our own. Just come as soon as you’re done here.

Sheriff Grant: Suit yourselves.

Detective Hall and Jack got in their police car and drove off.

Studio

Detective Hall and Jack walk in the studio guns at the ready. They heard a noise.
The two sneaked up to the front area seeing the Creature From The Black Lagoon murderer hacking a man on the ground. Blood was everywhere.

Jack: Jesus Christ!

He didn’t realize he said it out loud. The Creature From The Black Lagoon murderer turned around pulling off it’s mask revealing Danny Hoffman.
The two cops stepped out of their hiding spots guns at the ready. Danny put the knife he was using on a table and put his hands in the air.

Danny: Whoa! What’s going on?

Detective Hall: Get on the ground you murderer.

Danny: Why should I?

Jack: What do you think we are dumb asses we saw you just kill that person.

Danny: Oh you mean the fake dummy on the ground.

Detective Hall: What are you talking about?

Danny: I was just filming a scene in the movie with the dummy as the body.

Jack: Really, looks pretty real if you ask me?

Danny: We have great effects here. Let me show you.

Detective Hall pointed his gun at Danny.

Detective Hall: Don’t try to get away. You hear me?

Danny: Don’t worry I’m just going to show you two this is a dummy.

He walked to the dummy.

Danny: See it’s fake.

Danny grabbed a knife on the table behind him.

Detective Hall: Let me see …

He was cut short from a knife slicing his face open used by Danny.

Danny dropped the knife and ran off.

Detective Hall fell to the floor dead.

Jack: Shitt! Get down you asshole.

Danny was already gone.

Jack: Damn! I lost him.

Jack started walking down a hallway checking the corridors out of nowhere though Danny showed up stabbing Jack’s back with a knife.

Jack: Shitt!

He fell to the floor.

Danny stood above him yanking the knife out of Jack’s back.

Danny: You shouldn’t have come here detectives. The movie was just finished.

Jack: You murdering bastard.

Danny grinned.

Danny: Technically I don’t kill people.

Jack: What are you talking about?

Jack tried to crawl but Danny kicked him in the chest.

Danny: The victims come to me.

Jack: What?

Danny: Ever wonder why my special effects look so awesome. There real people. I travel from town to town making horror movies. I find depressed people who wish to commit suicide but just can’t do it. I do it for them. So I go to their place bring a camera and film the scenes while actually killing them. But they want to die, that’s how I’m not actually a murderer. That last person here who died was supposed to be the final scene he was going to be the hero but the Creature killed him in the end. I guess I could use you for a deleted scene or something.

Jack: The cops will catch you.



Danny: You are a idiot notice the dead body of the guy I killed before you showed up. I hacked him so good no one recognizes him he was just a bum on the street who wanted to die. I plan to blow up this place and the cops will find 3 bodies here. Detective Hall’s, yours, and mine.

Jack: What do you mean you’re dying also?

Danny: The cops will think that body on the ground is me you idiot. Once I’ve blown up the building I’ll go to some new town change my name and film some more movies.

Danny staged a camera. He put on his Creature From The Black Lagoon mask. Then he leaned down.

Danny: Hey, you’re a star Jack smile Ha-Ha!

Danny swung his knife as the camera filmed it all.
